Benny Se Teo, founder of 18 Chefs, has opened a brand new halal restaurant, The MeatHouse. It is located at the revamped Century Square.
Together with several fellow foodies, we went on a weekday night and enjoyed an amazing feast of premium steak.

Few places served a Tomahawk steak. My hubby doesn’t eat beef, I can’t possibly devour one by myself. haha….. Good thing there were six of us to share this.
This special 120-day grain-fed Tomahawk ranges between 1.2kg and 2kg. Check out the huge bone! Seared to our preferred doneness of medium rare, it was so succulent and juicy. And we could taste the smoky barbecue flavor which had diffused into the meat.
1.3 kg OP Ribs, grilled to medium rare doneness with charcoal to get the charred flavor. This USDA Corn fed beef ribeye is juicy and flavourful. The steak is served with herb butter.
Corn-fed USDA Certified Black Angus “Beef Short-ribs” braised at 85C for 12 hours and finished in the Josper Charcoal Oven. The yummy meat simply melts in the mouth. I love this.
We could taste the difference in flavors from the different cuts of beef.
Must-have Truffle Fries topped with grated Parmesan cheese and bits of black truffle. I couldn’t stop eating them while the others were chatting. hahaha…..
I had a look at the S$20,000 Josper Charcoal Oven while we were waiting for our food to be served. The aroma of barbecued steak was intoxicating. Diners could watch the cooks prepare their meals.
Chef Benny Se Teo was busy in the kitchen. Later, he came to our table to enquire about our food. We took some pictures together.
I saw the next table having Carpetbag Steak. It looks so tempting. I will be back for that Carpetbag steak.
